The Commodores are heading to Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan, this summer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt volleyball team is headed to Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan, May 24 through June 3, the program announced Thursday.

During the team’s 10-day international trip, the Commodores will play four matches versus university teams, including Senri Kinran, Ryokoku, Nihon Taiiku and Nihon. The group will have the opportunity to visit historic sites like the Osaka Castle, Arashiyama, the Main Palace in Kyoto, the Meiji Shrine and more.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the different culture there and all the shrines and castles,” freshman Gigi Mason said. “Usually, you don’t see that kind of history in America, but those types of structures have been there for hundreds of years and are still preserved.”
